Coleman is a native of Blackpool Lancashire. She attended Arnold School Blackpool as head girl, and she received the highest marks on her A level exams. In discussing her Emmerdale character, Coleman expressed regret for having not attended a university. Coleman worked with a group named In Yer Space at her school. They was in the stage production Crystal Clear in Edinburgh Festival. A prize was given to her for the presentation, while the show received an enthusiastic reception. Coleman was offered the role of Jasmine Thomas at Emmerdale while trying out for drama classes in 2005. Coleman received two nominations for prizes in 2007. Coleman won two nominations in 2007: Best Newcomer for the British Soap Awards; and most Popular Newcomer in the National Television Awards. In the British Soap Awards of 2009 she was awarded in the categories Best Actress and Sexiest female, as well as Best Dramatic Acting. Coleman received a nomination for Best Actress from the TV Choice Awards. On 21 March 2012 Doctor Who producer Steven Moffat made it clear at a press conference that Coleman was set to play the Doctor's companion alongside Matt Smith after Karen Gillan and Arthur Darvill have left the show. Moffat selected her because of the ease with which she worked together with Smith, and that she was faster at speaking than Smith. Eva Larue..............................Eva LaRue is an American actor and model. Since 1987, she's worked in film and television projects. She has been much more visible on television than in films. Eva is well-known for her roles as the character Dr. Maria Santos on All My Children as well as detective Natalia Boa Vistas in CSI Miami. The latter gave Eva two nominations for a 'Daytime Emmy.' She also got to showcase her creativity through music. Alongside being an actress, Eva is a philanthropist and an entrepreneurial. She is a thrice-married woman and has a daughter with her second spouse.
