Ani Difranco

Angela Maria Ani DiFranco (born Angela Maria Ani DiFranco) is a American and Canadian musician and singer. Her catalog includes more than 20 albums. DiFranco's songs are classified as alternative and folk. But, they incorporate elements of hip-hop music, jazz and punk. Ani Difranco is widely recognized as an icon of feminist music. In 1990 she was one of the first to establish her own record label. DiFranco is the daughter of Elizabeth (Ross), and Dante Americo DiFranco. They were introduced at their school, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Her father was of Italian descent as was her mother originally from Montreal. Ani Difrasco wrote and sang the song "32 Flavors". This song appears on her album Not a Pretty Girl released in 1995. It was featured on the soundtrack of 1999's Canadian romantic film Better Than Chocolate is a variant of this track. DiFranco apologized in 2013 after it was revealed that she was hosting a 3-day workshop in a Louisiana ex-slave plantation. The majority of us (including us) weren't impressed by her decision. DiFranco made a retraction apology two days following the first. While she is known by the name of Little Peoplesinger, she has been in contact with a myriad of musicians and artists from Pete Seeger through Chuck D all the way to Prince. The singer hails from New Orleans. Ani diFranco, and Kristen Ford are together. At 14, she began to compose her own music. The teens she was in were singing them in pubs and cafes. DiFranco began attending classes in Buffalo State College at age 16 following her graduation from the Buffalo Academy for Visual and Performing Arts. Ani's new baritone guitar is an original guitar that Alvarez created following several meetings with me as well as Chrys Johnson who was the artist rep for Alvarez when the guitar was made. "Brandy" (You're A Beautiful Girl) from the American Popular Rock group Looking Glass is from the album Looking Glass. It was written by Looking Glass lead guitarist and co-vocalist Elliot Lurie.
